Our client, a well-established food manufacturing operation, is seeking an experienced Sanitation Manager to lead overnight sanitation operations within a high-volume production environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is passionate about food safety, team development, and ensuring equipment is properly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for daily production.

Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the night shift sanitation team
- Oversee equipment disassembly, cleaning, sanitization, and reassembly
- Ensure proper staffing levels and shift coverage
- Monitor sanitation efficiency and minimize downtime to support production readiness
- Enforce company safety policies and lead scheduled safety meetings
- Conduct coaching sessions and support employee development
- Prepare and submit nightly sanitation reports
- Conduct accident investigations and maintain safety documentation
- Manage employee attendance and time records
- Maintain training documentation for new hires
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, HACCP requirements, GMPs, and company policies
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in sanitation within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of USDA and OSHA regulations
- Experience with CIP systems, chemical handling, and industrial equipment cleaning
- Working knowledge of HACCP and GMP standards
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Ability to work in refrigerated environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Meat Science, Agricultural Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Experience leading sanitation in a meat or protein processing environment
- Prior involvement in food safety audits or regulatory inspections
