Job Title : Developer II (Senior Salesforce Developer)
Location : Waltham, MA 02451 Preferred, Open to REMOTE or Hybrid
Pay rate : $60.00 - $62.00/hr

Overview

The Developer II (Senior Salesforce Developer) is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of high-performing enterprise solutions spanning Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Salesforce Field Service (FSL). This role focuses on translating business requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions while driving platform configuration, customized programmatic development, and complex ecosystem integrations. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies to optimize platform security, performance, and resource scheduling.

Job Specifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Architecture & Customization : Configure and customize core CRM and field service modules including Leads, Opportunities, Accounts, Contacts, Quotes, Cases, Work Orders, Service Appointments, Service Territories, and Scheduling Policies.

  • Programmatic Development : Build robust, custom applications utilizing Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce pages, and Salesforce Flows.

  • Systems Integration : Design, build, and support secure data integrations between Salesforce and external corporate applications using REST/SOAP APIs, Middleware platforms, and Platform Events.

  • Service Optimization : Implement and tune Omnichannel Routing, Knowledge Management, Computer Telephony Integration (CTI), Entitlements, and SLA automation processes.

  • Field Service Mobile & Optimization : Configure and support mobile field workforce solutions and resource scheduling optimization algorithms.

  • Platform Governance & Support : Conduct peer code reviews, lead deployment planning, execute troubleshooting, and manage production support activities.

  • Security & Data Integrity : Maintain platform security controls, data integrity protections, performance optimization routines, and global best practices.

  • Agile Delivery : Support CI/CD workflows, release management frameworks, and coordinate actively with offshore/onshore technical teams.

Must Have Skills / Requirements

  • Salesforce Architecture : Direct, comprehensive expertise operating within Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Field Service Lightning (FSL).

  • Technical Stack : Advanced hands-on development skills utilizing Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, SOSL, Visualforce, and Salesforce Flow automation.

  • Integration Patterns : Demonstrated experience connecting systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and middleware tools such as Dell Boomi or MuleSoft.

  • Service Mechanics : Experience setting up Case Management, Omnichannel routing, CTI systems, Knowledge Base tools, and Field Service scheduling functionalities.

  • Security & Governance : Thorough understanding of the Salesforce security model, including sharing rules, profiles, and permission sets.

  • DevOps : Hands-on experience with version control and deployment tools such as Git, Jenkins, Copado, or Azure DevOps.

Required Certifications

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I & II Certifications

  • Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant Certification

  • Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Field Service Consultant Certification.

  • Proven experience leading Salesforce technical teams and solution design discussions.

  • Value-added background in enterprise Salesforce architecture, marketing automation integrations (Eloqua, ON24, iCapture), and SAP/middleware integrations via Dell Boomi.

Education & Experience

  • Experience : 10+ years of professional Salesforce development experience required.

  • Education : Bachelor s Degree required; Master s Degree is preferred.
