Job Description:
This role supports senior acquisition leadership in advancing innovative technologies into formal programs and operational use. The position focuses on bridging early-stage development with full-scale program execution, ensuring emerging capabilities are effectively transitioned into sustainable, mission-ready solutions.
You will collaborate with leadership, program offices, and technical teams to evaluate transition pathways, assess readiness, and coordinate integration efforts across multiple initiatives. This is an on-site role requiring close engagement with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze program portfolios to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for capability transition
- Partner with product managers and program teams to evaluate technical maturity and readiness for deployment
- Assist in planning and executing acquisition milestones, reviews, and key decision events
- Develop executive-level briefings, reports, and decision-support materials
- Coordinate efforts across acquisition, engineering, and operational teams
- Ensure alignment between modernization initiatives and acquisition strategies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field
- 15+ years of relevant experience for SME-level candidates (10+ years for senior-level candidates)
- Experience supporting defense acquisition programs, urgent operational needs, or adaptive acquisition frameworks
- Strong knowledge of acquisition lifecycle processes and program office operations
- Active Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- DAWIA certification in Program Management, Engineering, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline
- Experience as an acquisition professional, program integrator, or operational leader
- Background in rapid capability development or technology prototyping
- Prior experience within Program Executive Offices or headquarters-level organizations
- Familiarity with transitioning capabilities in defense environments
