What You'll Do
- Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise-scale network infrastructure in line with long-term technical strategy and organizational standards.
- Configure, tune, and troubleshoot routing protocols across BGP and OSPF environments at scale.
- Design and maintain robust Layer 2, Layer 3, and MPLS environments that meet demanding availability requirements.
- Apply hands-on knowledge of high-capacity transport and physical connectivity to support resilient end-to-end network design.
- Lead routine and advanced maintenance cycles upgrades, patching, and security hardening with minimal disruption.
- Perform capacity modeling, traffic analysis, and performance forecasting to stay ahead of growth.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers on the team.
- Drive proactive network monitoring and optimization practices, reducing mean time to resolution.
- Own network security posture and ensure ongoing compliance with industry best practices.
- Create and maintain thorough documentation covering design decisions, configurations, and operational runbooks.
- 10 or more years of hands-on experience in large-scale network engineering environments.
- Deep working knowledge of BGP and OSPF in complex, high-demand production environments.
- Proven experience designing and operating Layer 2, Layer 3, and MPLS networks in production.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- Substantial hands-on experience with Juniper and Cisco platforms in large-scale environments.
- Advanced industry certifications in networking are a strong differentiator and highly preferred.
- Solid grounding in network security principles, threat modeling, and defensive network architecture.
