Our client, a leading organization in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to join their team. As a Quality Control Technician, you will be part of the Quality & Food Safety department supporting cross-functional teams including Production, Sanitation, Warehouse, and Quality Assurance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to safety and quality assurance, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Location: Rochester, MN

Pay Range: $22

Shift: Nights- rotating 12 hour shift

What's the Job?

  • Perform routine analytical laboratory testing and handle samples according to site requirements.
  • Document work accurately and communicate results promptly to support production decisions and product release.
  • Conduct sanitation verification activities, including visual checks and microbiological swabs on equipment and production areas.
  • Perform CCP and food safety verification checks, ensuring compliance with site procedures and documentation standards.
  • Support label verification, packaging controls, and initiate product holds when quality issues are identified.

What's Needed?

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years laboratory or manufacturing quality experience; experience with laboratory instruments and sanitation verification activities is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures precisely.
  • Proficiency with laboratory and office software, with a focus on data integrity and audit readiness.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
