Network Security Engineer

Oxford Solutions is working with a client to hire a Network Security Engineer for a direct hire opportunity. This onsite role supports a multi-site enterprise environment, with a strong focus on Fortinet security and network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure across multiple locations
- Configure and manage Fortinet firewalls along with routing, switching, and wireless networks
- Design and improve secure network architecture, including remote access solutions
- Lead network upgrades, integrations, and performance improvements
- Troubleshoot complex network issues (Tier 3 support)
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure reliable and secure connectivity
- Maintain network security policies, controls, and documentation
- Participate in an on-call rotation and occasional travel
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls is required
- Experience with Cisco routing and switching
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- Experience with VPN, secure remote access, or ZTNA
- Exposure to AWS or cloud networking environments is a plus
- CCNA or similar experience preferred
