Assembler

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Assembler in Endicott, NY for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role supports final assembly operations, including soldering and mechanical assembly of electronic components and circuit card assemblies. You will work in a hands-on production environment building and inspecting high-quality assemblies.

Required Skills

• Mechanical assembly experience, especially with small or delicate parts
• Experience with soldering and/or willingness to be trained
• Ability to follow written instructions, diagrams, and process sheets
• Basic computer and typing skills
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to pass a visual acuity (VAST) test
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required

Preferred Skills

• Ability to hand solder to J-STD-001 / IPC-610 standards (training provided if needed)
• Experience wiring circuit cards
• Experience with conformal coating rework
• Experience using systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar for tracking work
• Lean Six Sigma training

What You'll Do

• Perform soldering and mechanical assembly of circuit card assemblies and chassis
• Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and modules using provided tools and instructions
• Wire subassemblies using diagrams and wiring lists
• Follow work orders, process sheets, and routing instructions
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards
• Perform rework as needed to correct defects
• Support cross-training across different assembly functions
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
