Temp Laboratory

Description: Client will not consider MLT Traveler Candidates

Your traveler will be expected to:

• Work independently within two weeks of start date AND in a team setting
• Obtain blood specimens
• Maintain knowledge of specific specimen requirements
• Follow correct order of draw based upon tube type and special handling of tests
• Utilize proper resources for obtaining specimen requirement information
• Collect and enter off-site blood work into system
• Complete and process a variety of forms
• Obtain pre-authorization and patient signature
• Prepare specimens for in-lab testing or off-site shipment
• Ensure blood-drawing stations are clean and well stocked

Patient Population: Pediatric to Geriatric
EMR: Cerner
Dress Code: Personal Scrubs of any color
Trauma Level: Critical Access Hospital

• Minimum 2 years current Medical Technologist/MT/MLS experience - [Required]
• National Certification (NCCT NOT Accepted) - [Required]
• ABILITY TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY/HIT THE GROUND RUNNING - REQUIRED
• HIGH PROFICIENCY IN TESTING IN ALL AREAS OF LAB (MUST BE AN MT "GENERALIST") - [REQUIRED]
• High proficiency in PHLEBOTOMY, chemistry, hematology, blood bank, urinalysis, and read Gram stains/plate culture specimens in microbiology. [Required]
• PHLEBOTOMY/VENIPUNCTURE EXPERIENCE - REQUIRED - PHLEBOTOMY CHECKLIST [REQUIRED]!
• Travel experience [Strongly preferred]
• This is a small community without public transport. Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle. This is a firm requirement.

• Any/All RTO must be included in
  profile. ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF
  SUBMISSION. Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests
  at/after time of offer/at interview. Please obtain this information
