Packaging Machine Operator

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator (AHP)for an Onsite position with a Global Manufacturing Company located in Columbus, OH. This is a 6 month contract opportunity. This is a contract to hire opportunity.

This role is responsible for all packaging activities in a manufacturing environment. Under the direct supervision of the shift Operations Manager, the associate will handle equipment sanitation, preparation of packaging and product materials, and the packing of finished products for shipment, ensuring compliance with all cGMPs, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Stage preapproved repackaging material and equipment for production runs
• Assist in operating packaging equipment, including minor troubleshooting
• Repackage raw material into finished product according to specifications and quality standards
• Assist in production room and equipment cleans/sanitation
• Adhere to all cGMPs, safety regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures
• Maintain good housekeeping throughout the shift in the work areas
• Work as a team member to meet or exceed quality and production goals
• Partner with supporting areas, such as quality, to report production/quality issues
• Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Ability to read, write, and understand the English language for reading documents, product labels, and instructions
• Ability to stand for a minimum of 8-12 hours
• Manual dexterity with hands
• Ability to lift, handle, or push items weighing on average 25lbs, up to 35lbs
• Must be a team player and demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Must possess basic mathematical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain cooperative working relationships
• Detail-oriented with the ability to use good judgment to carry out instructions
• Maintain appropriate attendance standards

Desired skills:

• Previous experience as an assembler or on a production line

Pay range: up to $20.00 per hour
