Packaging Machine Operator

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator (AHP) for a contract-to-hire position with a Healthcare Services Organization located in Columbus, OH. This is a 6-month contract opportunity.This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Under the direct supervision of the shift Operations Manager, this position is responsible for all packaging activities including equipment sanitation, preparation of packaging and product materials, and packing out of finished products for shipment. This role operates in a manufacturing environment that adheres to cGMPs, safety regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures. The shift for this position is Sunday-Thursday from 11:00pm - 7:30am.

Responsibilities:

• Stage preapproved repackaging material and equipment for production runs
• Assist in operating packaging equipment, including minor troubleshooting and escalating issues as needed
• Repackage raw material into finished product according to packaging specifications and quality standards
• Assist in production room and equipment cleaning/sanitation
• Adhere to all cGMPs, safety regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work areas throughout the shift
• Work as a team member to meet or exceed quality and production goals
• Partner with supporting areas, such as quality, to report production or quality issues
• Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to read documents, product labels, and instructions
• Ability to stand for a minimum of 8-12 hours
• Manual dexterity with hands
• Ability to lift, handle, and push items weighing on average 25 lbs, up to 35 lbs
• Must be a team player and demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Possess basic mathematical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships
• Detail-oriented with the ability to use good judgment to carry out detailed instructions
• Ability to identify production and quality issues in a production environment
• Maintain appropriate attendance standards

Desired skills:

• Previous experience as an assembler or on a production line

Pay range: up to $22.50 per hour
