The general function of the position within the organization is to perform administrative duties, in addition to, providing clerical support for the County Administrator, Deputy County Administrator, Assistant County Administrator, Communications Division, and EMA Division. This position involves high-level interaction with executive management and elected officials and requires independent judgment and innovative problem solving to complete complex assignments across a broad scope of responsibilities to include highly sensitive and confidential matters.

Job Description
The general function of the position within the organization is to perform administrative duties, in addition to, providing clerical support for the County Administrator, Deputy County Administrator, Assistant County Administrator, Communications Division, and EMA Division. This position involves high-level interaction with executive management and elected officials and requires independent judgment and innovative problem solving to complete complex assignments across a broad scope of responsibilities to include highly sensitive and confidential matters.
Required Skills
- Responsible for all secretarial/administrative support functions for the County Administrator s Office, Communications Division, EMA Division.
- Evaluates, prioritizes and completes daily work responsibilities independently.
- Interacts with departments, outside agencies and business owners, providing requested information regarding documentation, meetings, notices and compliance to established protocols.
- Formats and maintains master files on all documents and correspondence; operates the County-wide database system that organizes financial and personnel information; manages calendars; and schedules appointments and meetings for staff as necessary.
- HR Liaison, processes payroll, onboarding/terminations, invoices, reimbursements for staff, credit card reconciliation.
- EIT department liaison for all software updates.
- Prepares travel arrangements and registrations for seminars and meetings as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Requires five years of related experience, with comparable clerical experience.
- Performs coordinating work involving guidelines and rules with constant problem solving; Requires continuous, close attention for accurate results or frequent exposure to unusual pressure.
- Requires education or training equivalent to an Associate s Degree. Requires training in General Business and Administrative Office Procedures
- Handles or uses machines, tools, or equipment requiring moderate instruction and experience such as computers, software programs, such as Word, Excel, or custom applications.
