We are currently seeking a Scientific Program Manager to work onsite with the National Institutes of Health in Rockville, MD.

The US base salary for this full-time position is $90 - $110/hr + benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expertise and advising for specialized projects requiring custom automation, mechanical engineering. Scientists will manage scientific projects in their domain of expertise to ensure successful completion
  • Develops and assists staff implement policies and procedures related to the organization's scientific programs.
  • Collects, analyzes and creates scientific program information.
  • Coordinates workshops and reports their outcomes.
  • Evaluates current scientific programs and determines if changes need to be made.
  • Assists with analyzing current scientific programs and developing and proposing new initiatives.
  • Collaborates with management and prepares reports to keep them updated on new and ongoing programs and activities.
  • Coordinates staff responsible for developing, installing and maintaining scientific programs.
  • Analyzes current policies and procedures and suggests and develops improvements.
  • Assists in preparing and developing future strategic plans.
  • Prepares and provides educational materials to staff.
  • Works closely with management to develop new initiatives that further scientific research.
Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Demonstrates expertise with Microsoft MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • SolidWorks
  • OnShape
  • Agile project management planning, conducting, and executing agile ceremonies
  • Analytical, organizational and time management skills
  • Research conduct and compliance
  • Writing
