Data Platform Operations Engineer

Were seeking a Data Platform Operations Engineer to support and scale Azure-based data environments. This role focuses on deploying, automating, and maintaining cloud infrastructure while ensuring reliability, security, and performance across the data platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Azure data platform resources and landing zones

• Automate infrastructure using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions required)

• Maintain system stability, performance, and security across cloud environments

• Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements

• Collaborate with engineering teams to support data workflows and platform needs

• Create and maintain clear technical documentation and operational processes

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on Azure cloud deployment experience

• 2+ years Terraform provisioning experience

• Strong experience with GitHub Actions (required)

• Solid understanding of Azure networking (VNETs, subnets, private endpoints)

• Strong data platform knowledge and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and documentation skills (critical for success in this role)

• Experience with DevOps practices and cloud automation

Preferred Experience

• Databricks, PostgreSQL, or other database technologies

• Azure CLI, monitoring tools, or CI/CD tooling

• AI tools such as Copilot or Azure AI Studio/Hub

• Agile/Scrum environments
