Sr Electrical Engineer Exempt

Responsibilities- Contribute to the maintenance and testing of mixed-signal electrical systems and circuits for medical devices, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards (e.g., IEC 60601).
- Develop detailed specifications, schematics, and PCB layouts, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to meet design and performance requirements.
- Ensure reliability, develop technical specifications for test hardware conformance to specifications; may include modifying existing products.
- Contribute to technical project planning, establish timelines, define deliverables, and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Develop detailed specifications for replacement of obsolete components; may include development of test specifications, regulatory assessment, and standards testing (e.g., IEC 60601).
- Monitor, investigate, and validate customer complaint trends to determine if product needs additional modifications or redesign while maintaining product requirements.
- Experience with all phases of mixed-signal board design including architecture, circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, PCB layout, and design verification.
- Strong electrical signals and systems fundamentals including frequency domain representations and circuit analysis.
- Experience with OrCAD schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
- Hands-on experience using lab test equipment (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic and network analyzers) for system integration, debugging, and testing.
- Experience designing, testing, and implementing medium-voltage systems.
- Experience in designing and testing medical equipment within a regulated industry and familiarity with (phone number removed) safety standard.
- Ability to work in an agile development environment.
- Interest in the challenges of addressing customer complaints.
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of electrical engineering experience OR a Masters degree with a minimum of 2 years of electrical engineering experience.
- This position requires 40 hours per week, with 4 days onsite and 1 flex day per week.
- The role supports Medical Surgical Devices like Energy Generators, Lung Health, and GYN products.
