Job OverviewThis is a contractor position with a duration from April 27, 2026, to April 26, 2027, offering 40 hours per week. The role is onsite, aligning with the 1st shift Eastern Time Zone working hours.
Requirements- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 6 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in 3D CAD Modeling, ANSYS Finite Element Analysis, Fracture Mechanics Analysis, Low Cycle Fatigue, Microsoft Office, Rotor Design, and Siemens NX
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience with Python Automation
- Execute 2D & 3D gas turbine rotor finite element analyses in Ansys
- Perform post-processing exercises such as LCF crack initiation and propagation
- Summarize bolted joint behavior and conduct strength evaluations
- Pull and work with CAD models in Siemens NX
- Summarize and document analytical results
- Support automation of tasks with Python as needed
- Evaluate defects through analysis
- Present project status in routine meetings
