Schedule: M-F 8-4 or 9-5, one overnight weekend trip every three months

Calo Programs in Lake Ozark, Missouri is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Adventure Therapy Coordinator to lead meaningful, adventure-based experiences that transform the lives of adolescents.

In this dynamic role, youll design and facilitate innovative adventure therapy programs that promote emotional resilience, physical wellness, social skills, and neurobiological development. From leading ropes courses and team-building activities to coordinating camping trips, adventure excursions, and fitness routines, youll create powerful, hands-on opportunities for growth in a safe, supportive environment.

As part of our collaborative treatment team, youll help shape individualized student goals, guide therapeutic interventions, and contribute to measurable progressall while ensuring the highest standards of safety and program excellence. Youll also integrate service projects and Engineered Experiences to foster personal accountability, confidence, and connection.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement innovative adventure therapy programs that support students physical, emotional, social, and neurobiological development.
  • Lead weekly fitness routines and Adventure Excursions.
  • Facilitate weekly Ropes Course activities, team-building exercises, and other adventure-based experiences.
  • Plan and oversee camping trips or Engineered Experiences that provide growth opportunities for students.
  • Incorporate meaningful service projects into the program throughout the year.
  • Collaborate with the Treatment Team to identify student goals, plan interventions, and assess progress.
  • Ensure all activities are executed safely and adhere to best practices while maintaining program excellence.
Qualifications:
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Education HS Diploma. Ability to gain certification in CTRS.
  • Hold valid drivers license.
  • Experience in adventure therapy, experiential learning, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and program development skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to fostering student growth through physical challenges and team-building activities.
