Cloud Developer
Role Summary:
- Design, automate, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure in a classified AWS environment.
- Build and operate IaC and CI/CD pipelines to support mission critical workloads under DoD/IC security frameworks.
- Administer Linux systems and implement DevSecOps practices for reliable, compliant delivery.
- Design and maintain cloud native infrastructure on AWS using Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Administer Linux systems for availability, performance, security hardening, and compliance.
- Develop automation scripts in Bash, Python, or PowerShell for provisioning, monitoring, and operations.
- Configure and manage AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, and IAM roles.
- Apply DevSecOps practices to integrate security controls and testing into the delivery pipeline.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies to plan, deliver, and continuously improve.
- Support accreditation and compliance activities aligned to NIST, RMF, and FedRAMP.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to standards, runbooks, and best practices.
- Active Top Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Mid level: Five or more years in cloud development, DevOps, or related roles.
- Senior level: Eight or more years in cloud development, DevOps, or related roles.
- Hands on AWS experience with services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, encryption, and related components.
- Strong Terraform experience for infrastructure as code.
- CI/CD pipeline implementation using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Proficiency in Linux administration for security, optimization, and high availability.
- Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Networking knowledge for VPC design, subnets, security groups, IAM roles, and encryption policies.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into delivery pipelines.
- Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting using CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum processes.
- Knowledge of NIST, RMF, and FedRAMP compliance and accreditation support.
- Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration on AWS (EKS/ECS).
- Experience with AWS CloudFormation or CDK alongside Terraform.
- Exposure to classified cloud regions or AWS GovCloud.
- Detail oriented with strong ownership and follow through in secure environments.
- Clear, concise communication and documentation skills.
- Collaborative and proactive in cross functional teams.
- Organized and disciplined within change control and audit requirements.
