Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Educator Preparation Providers (EPPs) adhere to state approval processes in Title 5, Subtitle A, Section 1700 of the DCMR.
  • Verify EPP compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Create resources providing clear guidance to EPPs on regulations.
  • Coordinate technical assistance for programs not meeting OSSE standards.
  • Write and review reports from state review visits.
  • Implement the science of reading in teacher preparation programs.
  • Assist in creating or implementing registered teacher apprenticeships.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 11+ years articulating technical terms and complex data clearly to non-technical audiences verbally and in writing.
  • 5+ years leading clinical practices for education degree students.
  • 11+ years with MS Office, MS Project, or other project management software.
  • 11+ years in a university School or College of Education.
  • 5+ years as Dean, Interim Dean, or Associate Dean focused on Education.
  • 2+ years creating or implementing registered teacher apprenticeships.
  • 5+ years developing published resources for educator preparation providers and teacher pipelines.
  • Proficiency in Office 365.
  • Native or bilingual English proficiency.
  • Industry experience required.
