Sr Network Engineer
Senior Network Engineer | Hybrid in NYC
Required:
- Proper planning of upgrades and changes; perform code upgrades
- Update documentation, procedures, diagrams, circuit IDs, etc.
- Liaise with Network Services team and end-users on day-to-day issues
- React to Network Monitoring platform alerts identify, diagnose, and resolve network-related service problems
- Coordinate with vendors (e.g., down circuit, equipment replacement)
- Produce support and operational documentation
- Develop deployment, testing, and rollback plans
- Author How-To's
- Work with ServiceNow tickets and ensure closure as per SLA
- Strive for continuing education in the fields of networking and unified communications
Required:
- Background in internetwork, LAN, and WAN, with a recent focus on Arista technologies
- Automation skills (e.g., Python, Ansible, Git) are required
- CloudVision-as-a-Service (CVaaS)
- Expert in switching, routing, and troubleshooting concepts (e.g., BFP, Multicast, OSPF)
- Thorough understanding of layer 2/layer 3 networking details, OSPF/BGP routing, VLANs, trunking, port-aggregation, static routing, upgrade processes
- Experience with: Spine-leaf Architecture (EVPN-VXLAN and SD-WAN)
- Knowledge of wiring, racking, cross connects
- Knowledge of Palo Alto firewall & security concepts
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, VPC, Direct Connect/Transit Gateways)
