Job Summary
The Material Handler II is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring timely material flow to support manufacturing and assembly operations. This role involves both physical and system-based inventory management within a regulated environment, requiring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. The position plays a key role in supporting production efficiency through coordination of materials, accurate data entry, and collaboration across teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform material movements both physically and within ERP systems
- Generate and process work orders and receipts in the ERP system
- Conduct cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records
- Support the coordination and flow of materials through manufacturing and assembly areas
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Handle chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol and sulfuric acid with proper training and safety procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational needs
- Comply with quality systems, including QMS and EMS requirements
- Adhere to FDA regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and other assigned tasks
- Work overtime as required to meet business needs
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of inventory control experience, preferably in a regulated environment (pharma, medical device, or similar)
- Experience using ERP systems for inventory and work order management
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inventory tracking
- Ability to follow procedures and comply with regulatory requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to handle chemicals safely with proper training
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
Work Experience
- At least 1 year of inventory control or material handling experience required
