Title: Material Handler, 3rd Shift
Schedule: Friday - Sunday 6:00 am to 6:30 pm (hours may vary)
The Material Handler is responsible for performing tasks involving the shipping and receiving of both raw and finished materials.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
- Operating mechanical forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock picker lift trucks.
- Operating and maintaining RF Scanner (handheld warehouse computer).
- Accurate and timely selecting of customers orders
- Accurately completing work order sheets.
- Working on both the Receiving and Shipping docks as needed.
- Unload trucks and validate deliveries against appropriate documentation, and notify supervisor or FSQ of discrepancies.
- Unload meat trucks and complete weighing and temperature review of each pallet and documenting each measurement. Notify Supervisor or Food Safety Quality (FSQ) of any discrepancies
- Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper storing and use.
- Distribute the items received to the person or department for which the item was ordered.
- Daily shipments must be picked, counts verified, pallets wrapped or stacked neatly for pick-ups, marked accordingly to customer, transportation and location of shipment.
- Load finished goods onto trailer within specified timeframe.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of finished products and supplies in the warehouse.
- Safety Operate a Forklift, Pallet Jack, and/or Strait Truck
- Operate Yard Spotter Truck (training provided)
- Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training, along with company pre-requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
- Cleaning and maintaining warehouse floor and facilities as needed.
