Our client, a leading advanced manufacturing and industrial automation company, is seeking a Controls Engineer 3 to join their team. As a Controls Engineer 3, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Automation Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Controls Engineer 3
Location:Detroit, MI
Pay Range: $50$70/hour (based on experience)
- Design, develop, and optimize control systems for industrial automation equipment
- Program and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems (Siemens & Allen-Bradley)
- Perform system testing, debugging, and commissioning to ensure reliable operation
- Integrate sensors, actuators, and industrial devices into automated systems
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production teams
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field
- 57 years of experience in controls engineering or industrial automation
- Strong experience with PLC programming (Siemens Step 7, TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley)
- Knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus)
- Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot automated systems
