Job Description:
This role supports senior acquisition leadership in advancing emerging technologies into formal programs and operational use. The position is centered on bridging early-stage innovation with structured program execution, ensuring capabilities are effectively developed, integrated, and delivered for mission readiness.
You will collaborate with leadership, program teams, and technical stakeholders to evaluate transition strategies, assess readiness levels, and coordinate integration efforts across multiple initiatives. This is an on-site position requiring close, ongoing interaction with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess program portfolios to identify transition risks, capability gaps, and improvement opportunities
Partner with product managers and program teams to evaluate technical maturity and deployment readiness
Assist in planning and executing acquisition milestones, reviews, and key decision events
Develop executive-level briefings, reports, and decision-support materials
Coordinate integration activities across acquisition, engineering, and operational teams
Ensure modernization efforts align with acquisition strategies and mission priorities
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field
15+ years of relevant experience for SME-level candidates (10+ years for senior-level candidates)
Experience supporting defense acquisition programs or adaptive acquisition environments
Strong knowledge of acquisition lifecycle processes and program office operations
Active Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
DAWIA certification in Program Management, Engineering, Logistics, Business, or related discipline
Background in acquisition roles, program integration, or operational leadership
Experience with rapid capability development or prototyping initiatives
Familiarity with Program Executive Offices or headquarters-level organizations
Experience transitioning capabilities into operational defense environments
Key Skills Required:
Defense acquisition lifecycle management
Cross-functional program integration
Strategic planning and analytical decision-making

Travel: Approximately 25-40% (domestic and international)
