Senior Developer-Full Stack

Our client, is a Real Estate and Financial Services company, is looking for a Senior Developer-Full Stack for their Mclean, VA location.

Responsibilities:

• Transform accounting systems from legacy monoliths to nimble microservice cloud enable systems
• Bring innovative technology to bear on business challenges to delight and excite our customers
• Collaborate with other it teams to advance our technical capabilities
• Live to automate and optimize processes and technologies
• Understand User Stories, participate in Analysis, design applications based on
• System User Stories and Architecture, prototype, if necessary, develop, unit test and deploy the application.
• Build Micro Services based solutions using Java/JEE frameworks, Docker and Open
• Shift or AWS managed Kubernetes.
• Newly created Micro Services will replace legacy Java/JEE monolithic applications.
• Support what you build, which includes providing fixes to production defects.
• Quickly evaluate defects, investigate cause and come up with solutions to remediate.
• Support building Micro Services practice within the team.
• Build UIs using Angular, CSS/SCSS and HTML

Requirements:

• Must Have Qualifications: prefer 7 + years preferred Java 8 or 17, Spring/ Springboot, Relational dataset (Postgres, Oracle, DB2), Cloud-AWS and Kubernetes, Angular experience on a Java base with GUI is required.
• Preferred: AI or chat GPT knowledge. nonrelation nice to have experience and Python.
• Bachelors degree in computer science or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired; advanced degree preferred
• 5-7 or more years of experience working in Agile, Lean/Kanban, or Scrum based
• Agile organization. Proven ability to use Lean/Agile delivery practices to improve teams, quality, and reliability
• Experience applying TDD, BDD, and Static Code analysis to improve quality and reliability of delivery
• 3-5 years of experience in Design and Development of Applications and Web Services using Java EE, Spring / Spring Boot, Python
• Java presentation frameworks experience Angular or similar frameworks
• Integration experience using Web Services /REST and EJB preferably on Tomcat.
• Experience in code delivery pipelines and experience with Maven, Jenkins, Spinnaker
• Preferred experience MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Microservices are a plus.
• Some experience with AI development tools GHCP, AmazonQ, Anthropic
• Works under minimal direction and is a strong teammate
• Strong written and oral communications skills.
• Proactive in nature with customer satisfaction as primary goal.
• Innovative in providing solutions, loves to take on challenges with calculated risk.
• Quick learner of new technologies and tools.
