Position Summary

The Coating Data Coordinator supports the Coating Department by collecting, organizing, maintaining, and reporting production and operational data. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely availability of data used to monitor departmental performance and support business decision-making.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while partnering closely with department leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, compile, and maintain production, quality, downtime, and operational data for the Coating Department.
  • Accurately enter data into spreadsheets, databases, and internal tracking systems.
  • Review source documents for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical records of production and operational data.
  • Generate routine reports and summaries for department leadership.
  • Assist with tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and operational metrics.
  • Identify data discrepancies and collaborate with team members to resolve issues.
  • Communicate with supervisors and production personnel to clarify missing or inconsistent information.
  • Support special projects, audits, and data-related initiatives as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and departmental information at all times.
Required QualificationsEducation
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate Degree preferred.
Experience
  • 13 years of experience in data entry, administrative support, reporting, manufacturing documentation, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Experience using Excel for data manipulation, reporting, and analysis preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP, MES, or production tracking systems is a plus.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while entering, reviewing, and analyzing data.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience collecting, compiling, and analyzing production or manufacturing data.
  • Familiarity with production reporting, operational metrics, and performance tracking.
  • Experience identifying data inconsistencies and driving corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of ERP, MES, or other manufacturing information systems.
