We are expanding our engineering team and looking for technically excellent engineers who want to build a long-term career in the United States.The RoleWe are hiring an HVAC Mechanical Engineer to lead the in-house engineering of our HVAC and climate control work - heat pumps, mini-splits, VRF systems, and integrated controls - for residential and commercial projects throughout Massachusetts. You will own the technical analysis, design, and documentation of these systems and work directly with operations, project managers, and field crews. This is a full-time, in-office role at our North Chelmsford headquarters.Responsibilities
- Design and document HVAC and climate systems (heat pumps, mini-splits, VRF, ducted and ductless) for residential and commercial projects
- Perform load calculations (Manual J/D/S or equivalent), equipment sizing, and system performance analysis
- Develop technical drawings, equipment schedules, and submittal packages for permitting and installation
- Translate field site conditions into engineering specifications
- Identify mechanical system deficiencies and develop engineering improvements
- Support compliance with Mass Save program requirements, Massachusetts mechanical code, and manufacturer specifications
- Coordinate with equipment vendors and manufacturers (Mitsubishi, Midea/ACIQ, Fujitsu, LG) on technical specifications
- Provide engineering support to field crews during installation and commissioning
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (4-year program) - required for TN Visa eligibility
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on HVAC engineering experience - heat pumps, mini-splits, VRF, or commercial HVAC
- Mexican or Canadian citizenship and eligibility for TN Visa (USMCA)
- English at CEFR B2 (upper-intermediate) or higher - written and verbal
- Proficient in AutoCAD and HVAC design tools
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and manufacturer specifications
