Key Responsibilities:
  • Driving and creating innovative designs that are put the customers' needs first.
  • Design experience, including creating drawings, bills of materials and project management.
  • Quoting (including scope of work) experience
  • Act as technical support for the sales team
  • Evaluate product design relative to material selection, cost and reliability
  • Work with manufacturing to ensure product manufacturability and trouble shoot issues
  • Follow through on field tests and develop new ideas and processes
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • BSME and project management experience preferred
  • Design experience, including creating drawings, bills of materials and project management.
  • Design for manufacturability experience,
  • Experience with sheet metal and structural fabrication, welding and manufacturing equipment and techniques.
  • Experience using electrical motors, controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics a plus
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Experience with CAD systems, such as Solid Works and Inventor
  • Computer Literate with experience in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on attitude

Must Have:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
  • Experience: 1 3 years in design engineering.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Inventor preferred, but SolidWorks or similar acceptable).
  • Experience in creating engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and project management.
  • Strong understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • Hands-on experience with sheet metal, structural fabrication, welding, and manufacturing equipment techniques.
  • Experience working with vendors and customers.
  • Ability to see projects through from design to manufacturing and support production.
Nice to Have:
  • Familiarity with electrical motors, controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Experience with quoting and defining project scopes.
  • Previous work in field testing and process improvement.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: $65K $75K+ (potential for a discretionary bonus).
  • No relocation assistance or visa sponsorship available.
  • Work Location: Onsite New London, WI.
  • Hiring Timeline: Immediate need.
Interview Process:
  • First Round: Phone screen with Engineering Manager.
  • Second Round: Onsite interview with Engineering Manager and Team.
