Sr Systems Admin

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join their team, where you'll manage and optimize a diverse range of systems and cloud platforms. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining system reliability, security, and performance.

Technical Environment:

• Work with Windows and Linux systems
• Engage with Azure and AWS cloud platforms
• Utilize VMware for virtualization
• Manage Active Directory & Group Policy
• Automate processes through scripting
• Implement backup and disaster recovery with Rubrik
• Collaborate via SharePoint

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain enterprise systems, including user account provisioning and lifecycle management
• Document system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures
• Perform routine operations and maintenance checks for server, system, and network health
• Manage and secure AWS tenants, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity protocols
• Provide technical support for expired accounts, replication issues, and operational disruptions
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, operations, and managed services teams for system upgrades and changes
• Apply server patches and system updates regularly
• Remediate system and network vulnerabilities
• Monitor systems and configure alerts to maintain uptime
• Administer and maintain backup and disaster recovery processes (Rubrik)
• Manage SQL replication, backups, and restorations

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator
• Strong understanding of AWS infrastructure and security best practices
• Proficiency in SQL Server replication
• Experience with ITIL-based workflows and ticketing systems
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or CompTIA Security
• Experience in agile environments and cross-functional collaboration

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Collaborative, positive, and respectful team player
• Self-directed and capable of managing time and responsibilities with minimal supervision
• Understands organizational structure and works effectively within it
