RequiredQualifications&Skills

• Experiencetroubleshootingvehiclesystems;heavy-dutytechnicianorServiceAdvisor/Writerexperienceishighlypreferred.
• Demonstratedsuccessintechnicaldiagnosticsandproblemresolution.
• Strongunderstandingofenginesystemsandvehicleoperations.
• Previousexperienceworkingwithinacorporateorstructuredengineeringenvironment.
• Abilitytoeffectivelymanagemultipleprioritiesandmeetdeadlines.
• Excellentverbalandwrittencommunicationskills,includingtechnicaldocumentation.
• ExperienceusingengineeringdiagnostictoolssuchasCaltermforECMsoftwareandcalibrationdownloads(withsupportfromtheCumminsColumbusengineeringteam).

KeyResponsibilitiesVehicle&PowertrainSupport

• Providetroubleshootingandtechnicalsupportfordevelopmentpowertrainsystems,includinghardware,software,controls,andelectronicsystems.
• Diagnoseandresolvevehicle-levelissuesacrossmultiplesubsystems.

IssueInvestigation&Resolution

• Followestablishedtroubleshootingproceduresanddiagnosticworkflowswhereavailable.
• Applyengineeringjudgmenttoidentifyrootcausesanddevelopeffectivesolutionswhenstandardproceduresdonotexist.
• Collaboratecloselywithtechnicianstoinvestigate,test,andresolvetechnicalissues.
• Maintainaccuraterecordsofissues,investigations,correctiveactions,andoutcomes.
• Communicatetroubleshootingplans,progressupdates,andresolutionstoengineers,technicians,andcustomers.

EngineeringTools&ValidationSupport

• UtilizeCaltermandotherengineeringtoolstodownloadECMsoftware,calibrations,andsupportdiagnosticactivities.
• SupportVehicleValidationactivities,including:
• Datacollectionandanalysis
• Engineconditionoverridesandtesting
• Identification,resolution,anddocumentationofvalidationissues
• Followestablishedissue-trackinganddocumentationprocessestoensuretraceabilityandvisibility.

Documentation&ProcessImprovement

• Maintainclearanddetailedtechnicaldocumentation.
• Developandimplementnewcommunicationmethods,trackingprocesses,ordocumentationpracticesasneededtosupportprojectobjectivesandoperationalefficiency.
