We are seeking a detail-oriented Etch & Reduction Process Technician to join our team in the precision manufacturing of Micro Channel Plates (MCPs). In this critical hands-on role, you will perform chemical etching, cleaning, and hydrogen reduction processing of glass wafers in a cleanroom environment. Your work directly impacts the quality and performance of advanced MCP components used in high-tech applications.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Etch & Reduction Process Technician to join our team in the precision manufacturing of Micro Channel Plates (MCPs). In this critical hands-on role, you will perform chemical etching, cleaning, and hydrogen reduction processing of glass wafers in a cleanroom environment. Your work directly impacts the quality and performance of advanced MCP components used in high-tech applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute precise chemical etching, cleaning, and hydrogen reduction processes on glass wafers following detailed manufacturing procedures
- Operate and monitor hydrogen reduction furnaces, including running controlled thermal cycles
- Handle and store MCPs according to strict vacuum and contamination control protocols
- Perform in-process wafer inspections and maintain accurate production documentation
- Strictly adhere to cleanroom protocols, safety standards, and hazardous material handling requirements
- Support production schedules while maintaining high standards for quality and process consistency
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field (preferred)
- Experience in chemical processing, wet chemistry, acid etching, or cleanroom manufacturing is strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with thermal processing, hydrogen reduction, furnaces, or vacuum systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow complex technical procedures
- Commitment to safety, quality, and working in a controlled cleanroom environment
