Production Assembly Technician
Pay rate: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday 5:00am -1:30pm plus OT opportunities
Location: Rhinelander, Wi 54501


Summary:
The Production Assembly Technician is responsible for producing engine packages by assembling parts and subassemblies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Read and understand blueprints or assembly instructions so you know exactly how to put things together the right way.
  • Keep track of parts and inventorylabeling, organizing, and making sure everything is where it needs to be and in the right amount.
  • Test finished products to make sure everything works properly and meets the required standards.
  • Line up and fit parts accurately before assembly, checking clearances and measurements.
  • Double-check that each part matches up with the blueprints using tools like calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
  • Gather all the materials and tools needed for each specific build or job package.
  • Install piping, wiring, fixtures, and other components to complete the assembly.
  • Use tools to drill, cut, tap, or ream parts as needed for the build.
  • Make repairs or adjustments if something isnt working or a part is damaged.
  • Measure final products to make sure they meet specifications.
  • Use hand and power toolslike drills, wrenches, mallets, and hammerssafely and effectively.
  • Do basic maintenance on equipment to keep things running smoothly.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized.
  • Help identify any product defects and fill out the proper documentation.
  • Record your work and quality checks on production forms.
  • Be open to cross-training so you can help out across different builds and learn multiple product lines.
  • Operate Forklifts to move mateials as needed.

Requirements:
  • Drug and background screening
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Must have at minimum one year of mechanical background
  • Must be able to lift 0-50 lbs. frequently
  • Must have basic knowledge of computers
  • Must be willing to be cross-trained to work in in other departments
