Introduction
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated control systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation of machinery and processes. The position requires working onsite during the midnight shift from 11 PM to 7 AM, Sunday night to Friday morning, with overtime every other weekend. This is an 18-month contract with the potential to become a full-time employee or extend the contract.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5-7 years of experience in controls engineering or industrial automation.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms).
- Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols.
- Experience with Siemens Software/hardware including 840D, Step 7, TIA Portal HMI's: PCU50's.
- Willingness to work overtime every other weekend.
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
- Experience with robots such as Fanuc or Kuka.
- Knowledge of CAD software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous experience with troubleshooting and maintaining automated systems.
- Design and implement control systems for industrial equipment and automated processes.
- Develop and modify PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs to support manufacturing operations.
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to integrate control solutions.
- Maintain documentation for control systems, including wiring diagrams and program logic.
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations teams.
- Participate in shift meetings and ensure smooth handover between shifts.
