Production Supervisor

Production Supervisor Night Shift
Schedule:5:45 PM 6:00 AM | 2-2-3 Rotation (Must be able to train on day shift)
Location:Decatur, IN 46733
Salary: $65,000+annually
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery goals
• Maintain an active presence on the production floor (50%+ of shift) to support employees and drive performance
• Supervise 1830 production employees, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and corrective action
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate production plans, metrics, and company updates
• Attend Tier meetings, update visual boards, and report performance metrics to leadership
• Develop and execute training plans for new hires and ongoing employee development
• Identify production issues and implement timely corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and equipment operation procedures
• Create and adjust shift schedules based on production demands
• Maintain accurate shift reports, SPC data, and production documentation
• Ensure equipment readiness, material availability, and housekeeping standards
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
• Develop and coach Production Leads to oversee operations in the supervisors absence
• Support departmental budgets and business planning initiatives

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• 10+ years of overall manufacturing experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• Proven ability to make independent decisions and manage priorities on night shift
• Experience with scheduling, staffing, training, and performance management
• Solid knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety standards
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a 2-2-3 rotation
• Thermoforming or plastics manufacturing experience preferred
