Mainframe Developer Modernization
Louisville, KY | 8 - 20 years of experience
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Mainframe Developer - COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, DB2, File-aid and other utilities
Healthcare Claims experience is a must
Working on environment readiness and SIT/UAT region support
Modernization experience preferred
Roles & Responsibilities
Mainframe Developer Modernization
The Mainframe Developer codes software applications based on business requirements. The Mainframe Developer work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
The Mainframe Developer standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes. Researches complaints and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
In this role, the developer works on the modernization initiatives by the client, converting the legacy code into other languages as required by client.
Healthcare experience is a must for this role.
