- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, science, or another field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-5 years experience with environmental and safety in general industry and construction.
- Industrial environmental and safety management experience preferred.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours or shifts when needed.
- Can deliver internal training effectively.
- Has critical thinking and problem-solving skills but can understand overall business objectives.
- Professional EHS Certifications are desired.
- Coach management and associates at all levels to ensure compliance with all EHS program expectations and applicable federal & state laws for day-to-day activities.
- Conducting risk assessments related to jobs performed by associates and suggesting risk mitigation strategies through programs such as; Job Safety Analysis, ergonomics process, machine safeguarding, etc.
- Training and assisting others (managers, associates, etc.) to complete their safety and compliance responsibilities (audits, following safety rules, etc.).
- Conducting appropriate inspections and audits, and ensuring corrective actions are monitored and documented.
- Maintaining accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate-based reporting systems.
- Enforcing compliance with EHS programs.
- Completing and documenting all regulatory compliance activities according to regulatory deadlines.
- Completing, documenting, and submitting required EHS reports and recordkeeping information.
- Conducting EHS training as needed, including new associate and contractor orientation.
- Responding to and investigating events including injuries and near-miss events.
- Drive closure of effective corrective/preventive actions, as assigned.
- Updating Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and external supplier evaluation software.
- Respond to emergencies when they arise.
- Handling associate complaints as they relate to EHS.
- Perform other duties, as assigned, in support of the EHS Continuum.
- Participating in company committees/activities outside of EHS responsibilities, such as Employee Resource Groups & Project GIFT.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, science, or another field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-5 years experience with environmental and safety in general industry and construction. Industrial environmental and safety management experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with and work well with others to manage projects, and meetings.
- Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence people and drive change.
- Exceptional organizational skills with high consideration for detail.
- Must possess time management skills and can meet deadlines.
- Works well independently and in a group environment.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours or shifts when needed.

- Must be able to be entrusted with confidential information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
