Located on a beautiful 10-acre campus in the heart of Scottsdale, Devereux Arizonas 24-hour RTC and Therapeutic School, has the capacity to serve 52 children. The campus is a safe and supportive environment that supports youth, ages 5 to 17, who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse challenges. Our on-site day school is year-round with 225 instructional/grading/in-service days, 35 preset vacation break days, 19 additional float days, and accumulated sick time (approximately, number of days are subject to change with school year). We work with students on social/communication skills, coping mechanisms, verbal/physical aggression, and emotional/behavioral challenges that impact overall functioning.
The school Principal provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and administrative direction for the Residential Treatment Center's educational program. Job duties include: ensuring compliance with Arizona Department of Education requirements, special education regulations, accreditation standards, organizational policies, and applicable behavioral health requirements. The Principal leads educational programming that integrates academic achievement, therapeutic support, positive behavioral interventions, and student-centered practices to improve outcomes for students with complex educational and behavioral health needs. This position serves as the educational leader for the RTC school and is responsible for academic performance, regulatory compliance, staff development, school improvement planning, special education services, and collaboration with residential, clinical, nursing, and administrative leadership.
Salary: $88,000 - $96,800
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm

- Masters degree in Educational Leadership, Educational Administration, Special Education, or a closely related field
- Valid Arizona Principal Certificate required; Arizona Special Education Certification preferred
- Three (3) years of full-time teaching experience
- Three (3) years supervisory or leadership/administrative experience
- Must have considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of school administration
OTHER:
- Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
- Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
