TRC Talent Solutions has partnered with a premier multi-site healthcare system serving North Georgia to identify a Network Engineer II. This organization is undergoing a major digital transformation, migrating critical clinical infrastructure and applications into a hybrid AWS environment across five hospitals and more than 80 locations.
This role is ideal for a technically strong network engineer with a foundation in routing and switching who is looking to expand into cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure. The position offers the opportunity to support enterprise-scale networking initiatives while contributing to the organization's cloud migration strategy.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the migration of on-premises services and applications into AWS hybrid-cloud environments
Configure and manage cloud-based networking components including firewalls, load balancers, and transit gateways
Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade enterprise networking infrastructure across multiple locations
Support Juniper switching, routing, and network management technologies
Administer and maintain Palo Alto firewall environments
Manage and support F5 BIG-IP load balancing solutions
Partner with application teams and project managers to support new site deployments and infrastructure projects
Participate in network design, implementation, cabling oversight, and deployment activities
Ensure high availability and performance of mission-critical healthcare systems
Support Zero Trust and enterprise security initiatives
Troubleshoot complex network connectivity, routing, switching, and performance issues
Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
Participate in ticket resolution, incident response, and infrastructure support activities
Participate in an on-call rotation and provide occasional on-site support when required
4+ years of experience supporting enterprise network environments
Strong knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, and network troubleshooting
Experience with Juniper or Cisco networking technologies
Experience supporting high-availability enterprise environments
Knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls preferred
Experience with F5 load balancers preferred
Familiarity with AWS networking concepts including VPCs, Direct Connect, and hybrid connectivity
Ability to learn and support cloud networking technologies
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Willingness to obtain JNCIS and AWS Cloud Practitioner certifications with company sponsorship
Ability to travel to local healthcare facilities as needed
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
