Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to contribute to the development, automation, and optimization of our cloud based data ecosystem. The ideal candidate has deep experience in Python, AWS, infrastructure-as-code, and enterprise scale data platforms. This role will work cross functionally to build automation, develop ETLs, support data architecture initiatives, and evangelize key technologies within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop automation scripts and tools for system provisioning, deployment, upgrades, and scaling using Python.
  • Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines to ingest and transform data from various operational systems.
  • Develop solutions within a modern cloud-based architecture.
  • Champion strategic technologies across public APIs, Big Data, and Analytics.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, architecture, and operations teams to support enterprise data platforms.
  • Apply strong understanding of metadata management and data modeling to support scalable data solutions.
  • Work hands-on with AWS services, including CloudFormation and Lambda.
  • Provide advanced SQL expertise across large data environments.
  • Contribute to team communication, documentation, and knowledge-sharing efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with relational, dimensional, and/or analytical data environments (RDBMS, NoSQL, ETL frameworks, and data ingestion protocols).
  • Experience with enterprise data warehouse, data lake, or big data platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of metadata management, data modeling, and relevant tools.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Advanced Python development experience.
  • Experience with AWS CloudFormation and Lambda.
  • Terraform and GitLab experience required (due to Client ecosystem).
  • Strong technical acumen in AWS environments supporting large-scale, data-driven projects.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in data governance, lineage, or cataloging tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
  • Prior experience working within financial services or large enterprise environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical teams.
