Quality Technician

JOB TITLE: Quality Technician
LOCATION: Hayward, CA; Onsite Monday - Friday from 8 am - 4:30 pm (Flexibility for OT)
PAY RANGE: $33 - $43/hr.
DURATION: 6 Months

TOP 3 SKILLS:

• Associate's Degree with 4-6 years of experience as a quality technician or HS Diploma/GED with 6-8 years of experience as a quality technician
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand CAD models, with a broad technical background in mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience performing root cause analysis and ability to read PFMEA and Control Plans

Overview:

• In this role, you will support the Manufacturing Engineering team and work cross-functionally with Vehicle Engineering, Corporate Quality, and Supplier Quality.
• You will use your technical background to perform root cause analysis on vehicles, record their findings, and communicate critical information to the cross-functional team.

Responsibilities:

• Read technical drawings and CAD to understand part design and intended assembly
• Communicate with cross-functional teams to facilitate root cause analysis
• Develop and document troubleshooting techniques
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering to identify and communicate trends
• Create and update quality documents
• Develop training plans for inspection, quality standards, and quality alerts

Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree with 4-6 years of experience as a quality technician
• or HS Diploma/GED with 6-8 years of experience as a quality technician
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand CAD models
• Broad technical background in mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience performing root cause analysis
• Ability to read PFMEA and Control Plans

Bonus Qualifications:

• A.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years of technician experience in automotive manufacturing
• Experience building test equipment
