We are looking for a dedicated professional to manage and enhance our enterprise VMware virtualization environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, deploy, and maintain VMware vSphere clusters, ESXi hosts, and related core virtualization infrastructure.
- Manage and optimize vCenter Server operations, templates, host profiles, and distributed configurations.
- Implement and support VMware vSAN, including storage policy design, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and capacity planning.
- Architect and maintain VMware NSX-T networking and security components, including micro-segmentation.
- Administer VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and integrated components, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Manage lifecycle operations using VMware Lifecycle Manager (vLCM), including upgrades, patching, and compliance management.
- Implement automation and orchestration using tools such as VMware Aria (vRealize) Automation, Orchestrator, and PowerCLI.
- Monitor system performance, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal environment stability.
- Maintain security compliance across virtualized environments, including access controls, hardening, and auditing.
- Collaborate with storage, networking, security, and application teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Develop and maintain architectural documentation, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery runbooks.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and participate in on-call support rotations.
- Extensive hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in one or more advanced VMware components such as vSAN, NSX-T, VCF, or VMware Aria Suite.
- Proficiency with PowerShell/PowerCLI automation.
- Deep understanding of enterprise compute, storage, and network architectures.
- Experience with capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects and work independently with minimal supervision.
