Our client is seeking an electrical assembler to support production operations within a clean room manufacturing environment. This is a fully onsite position supporting advanced electronics and defense-related systems. Candidates must be comfortable working a 4/10 schedule on 1st shift (MondayThursday, typically 6:00 AM 4:30 PM).
- Assemble, disassemble, and modify electromechanical and electronic production subassemblies following work instructions and process plans
- Perform conformal coat masking and coating on electronic assemblies
- Conduct conformal coating inspections to ensure quality and compliance standards are met
- Utilize fine brushes and masking materials to coat small features with precision and accuracy
- Work under slight magnification for the majority of the shift
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, process plans, drawings, and work instructions
- Inspect parts and materials for flaws and imperfections prior to use
- Perform self-inspection of completed work to ensure production quality
- Utilize fixturing to accurately build assemblies
- Manually solder or epoxy electrical components as required
- Operate manufacturing equipment including solder reflow ovens, semi-automated P&P machines, and automated measurement systems
- Maintain accurate production and data collection records
- Work effectively within a team-oriented clean room environment
Qualifications
- Two (2) years of High School or Trade School education required
- Prior conformal coating inspection experience strongly preferred
- Prior experience with conformal coat masking and coating preferred
- Ability to work meticulously with masking tape and fine-detail assembly work
- Ability to use a fine brush with a steady hand to coat small features
- Ability to work under magnification for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality standards
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and technical drawings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- IPC-A-610 and J-STD certifications are desirable
- Ability to become solder certified preferred
