Aviation Maintenance Technician (Structures) 1st Shift

= Pay Rate: $36/hr
=R Full-Time | 12-Month Contract

We are seeking 5 Aviation Maintenance Technicians (Structures) to support aircraft maintenance, repair, and modification work. This role focuses on structural repairs and precision work on aircraft components, supporting critical operations that impact overall mission readiness.
Key Responsibilities- Perform structural repairs and modifications on aircraft and flight control components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals
- Identify and install fasteners (rivets, bolts, hi-locks, screws, blind fasteners)
- Perform precision drilling, measuring, trimming, and assembly of metallic and composite structures
- Utilize tools such as micrometers, calipers, grip gauges, feeler gauges, and bore gauges
- Apply finishes including primer, paint, sealants, and corrosion prevention treatments
- Remove and reinstall panels, fairings, and damaged hardware without impacting surrounding structures
- Maintain accurate documentation including maintenance logs and work packages
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- 3+ years of aircraft mechanic experience (commercial, defense, or relevant apprenticeship)
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with close-tolerance drilling and precision measurement
- Familiarity with aircraft structural repair and modification processes
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or similar)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM 2:30 PM)
- Must be flexible to work 1st or 2nd shift as needed
- 100% onsite in Jacksonville, FL
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs (single person) in a manufacturing environment
- U.S. person required for export compliance
- Background check and drug screening required upon offer
- Successful completion of training (OJT and/or classroom) required
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail
- Commitment to first-time quality and precision work
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow direction from leads/SMEs
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
