Electrical Engineers
Secret clearance
Exp anywhere from 1 yr to 13+ Experience with high power electrical systems (10 kW and above).
Hands on experience with system bring up from an unpowered state.
Strong understanding of:
AC and DC power systems
Power converters (rectifiers, inverters, DC DC)
Energy storage systems (batteries, supercapacitors)
Protection devices (contactors, fuses, breakers)
Proficiency with electrical test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, etc.).
Ability to read and generate schematics, wiring diagrams, and one line diagrams.
BS degree and up to a Masters in related field
DUTIES
The Electrical Engineers will be responsible for assembling, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting high power Power and Energy Systems (PES) used in modular microgrids and advanced load applications.
The role ensures that system designs translate into safe, functional, and production ready hardware. Ideal applicants will be comfortable working in a lab, industrial, or high-bay environments, have a strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail, and able to work with incomplete or evolving requirements
System Build & Integration
Assemble PES hardware including power converters, energy storage systems, PDUs, contactors, protection devices, and thermal subsystems.
Integrate rack level and containerized systems, ensuring proper mechanical fit, cabling, grounding, and labeling.
Support MOSA aligned architectures to maintain modularity and component interchangeability.
Coordinate pre charge, contactor sequencing, and safe bring up of high voltage and low voltage buses
Testing & Validation
Develop and execute system level and component level test procedures.
Configure and operate programmable power supplies, loads, AFEs, and battery emulators.
Instrument systems to measure voltage, current, power quality, transients, and thermal behavior.
Conduct FAT, integration testing, fault insertion, and regression testing.
Verify performance against electrical, thermal, and control requirements.
Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis
Diagnose hardware, wiring, firmware, and controls issues during bring up and testing.
Perform structured root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Validate fixes through retest and document findings for internal and customer use.
Documentation & Configuration Control
Create and maintain wiring diagrams, one line diagrams, test reports, and as built documentation.
Support configuration management of hardware, firmware, and test setups.
Provide feedback to design teams to improve manufacturability, testability, and system robustness.
Safety & Compliance
Follow and enforce high voltage and high energy electrical safety procedures.
Support compliance with applicable military, industrial, and laboratory safety standards.
Participate in hazard analysis and risk mitigation activities.
Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, status as a protected veteran, or status as an individual with a disability.
