API Integration Developer II

SYSTEMTECis seeking aAPI Integration Developer II for ahybridopportunity in Columbia, SC. Candidate will support enterprise integration initiatives by developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting API-based solutions across cloud and on-premises environments. This role involves collaborating with technical teams to deliver reliable integration services that connect internal platforms and external partners.
Required Qualifications for the API Integration Developer II:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience combinations may also be considered
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development, systems testing, or related IT disciplines
- Experience developing or supporting RESTful and SOAP APIs
- Proficiency with JavaScript and backend integration concepts
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with enterprise integration solutions or service connectivity platforms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams
- Must be eligible to obtain required clearance credentials and complete pre-employment screening requirements
- Experience with IBM DataPower, IBM API Connect, AWS API Gateway, or Kong
- Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift and containerized environments
- Experience with Node.js and Java-based backend services
- Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger standards
- Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with SonarQube, BlackDuck, ReadyAPI, and Artifactory
- Experience with MQ, XML transformations, or IBM WTX/ITX
- Understanding of OAuth, mTLS, and enterprise authentication technologies
- Experience using Splunk, MongoDB, or related enterprise tools
- Support the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise API and integration services
- Assist with REST and SOAP service implementations across cloud and on-premises systems
- Troubleshoot integration, routing, transformation, and connectivity issues
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on integration initiatives
- Participate in testing, deployment support, monitoring, and production support activities
- Contribute to modernization and continuous improvement efforts across the integration platform
Work Location: Hybrid work arrangement requiring onsite presence Tuesday through Thursday and additional onsite attendance as needed in Columbia, SC.
