About the Role:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled individual to support experimental manufacturing operations.
- This role involves creating routings, managing inventory, coordinating material transfers, and troubleshooting part and program issues to ensure smooth production flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and edit manufacturing routings for experimental builds.
- Generate programs for fabrication operations; review manufactured part prints.
- Monitor production inventory and forecast future needs.
- Transfer stock between departments and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate with internal teams regarding material transfers.
- Coordinate with Supply Management on purchased parts and stock availability.
- Prepare and update daily and weekly reports using Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Occasionally design and model simple parts for shop use.
- Troubleshoot part requests from engineers.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with laser programs and manufacturing routings.
- Tools & Systems: SAP, CREO, AutoCAD, Lantek, Radan, Microsoft Office.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Associate degree in Pre-Engineering, Manufacturing/Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Drafting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in a manufacturing environment; proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings/prints; experience with CREO and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with SAP and Power BI; knowledge of inventory management practices.
- High level of computer literacy and comfort with technology.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of sheet metal and other fabrication processes.
