need someone who scores 3s in neuro. It is important that the candidate will be competent to take Neuro-trauma call.
I am looking of candidates who can independently do cranial procedures.
**specifically looking for CSTs with total joint and level II trauma experience.
*must be able to scrub*
*techs should have ortho total and ortho trauma experience in addition to general OR experience.
**Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract
" Unit: OR
" # of Suites 11 rooms
" Average # of cases per day 18 cases
" Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) BLS, CST-preferred not required
" Common Cases orthopedics, urology, ENT, neuro- backs, cranis
" Techs MUST be able to do cranial procedures independently
o Some peds for RNs only
o Use Davinci robotics, Mako, Stealth, and Scopis
" Experience or 'Must have' skills; Must have orthopedic trauma experience
" Is scrubbing required for RNs? No
" Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? A manager and charge daily- no room assignment
" OR techs? yes
" EMR EPIC
" Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?)8s or 10s beginning at 0700 M-F, same schedule week to week. Call is somewhat self scheduled
" Weeknight/Call Requirements: Yes, one weeknight per week- end of shift unti 0700 next morning
" Weekend/Call Requirements: Yes, three weekend days per month. 24 hour shifts
" Vacation/Call Requirements Yes, as needed
" What is call response time? 15 minutes
" Floating Requirements: none
" Scrub Color/Dress Code: scrubs are provided
" How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? one week
o Good surgeon/anesthesia partnership, have a good variety of cases and levels of acuity
o Attribute that will help a traveler be successful here are a strong work ethic, they hustle, willingness to speak up about patient safety
o Looking for someone with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment and has a positive attitude
o Facility will NOT approve block scheduling or same schedule/shifts of travel duos. Travelers MUST be flexible and willing to float and work when needed- please note understanding/agreeance on interview template
