Core Focus Areas:
Azure Governance & Policy as Code
- Design and enforce Azure Policies as Terraform code and guardrails across subscriptions
- Manage RBAC, security posture, compliance, and lifecycle standards
- 2. Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Build and maintain reusable IaC modules (Terraform and ARM)
- Automate landing zones and standardized environments
- 3. Azure Automation runbooks (PowerShell/Python) for tasks
- Ensure reliability with logging, error handling, and best practices
- Use Managed Identities for secure, credential-free access
- Oversee runbook lifecycle: version control, testing, and deployment
- Automate provisioning, compliance checks, remediation, and security triage
- Use PowerShell, Python, or Bash for end-to-end automation
- 4. DevOps & GitHub
- Integrate governance into CI/CD (Azure DevOps YAML pipelines, GitHub repositories)
- Enable policy validation, security scans, and drift detection in pipelines
- Manage code via Git-based workflows
What You Deliver:
- Automated guardrails and policy-as-code
- Scalable landing zones and standardized environments
- Continuous compliance, monitoring, and remediation
- Reusable frameworks and strong documentation
Required Experience:
- 3-5 years experience in a cloud engineering role
- One (1) plus years of governance experience
- Hands-on experience with:
- Azure Policy (initiatives, guardrails, remediation)
- RBAC and identity governance
- Subscription / landing zone design
- Resource guardrails across Azure services
- Azure vulnerability triaging (Defender for Cloud, Wiz)
- Proven experience with IaC tools (Terraform and ARM)
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline governance integration
- Solid understanding of cloud security and compliance
Experience with:
- Git-based development workflows
- Architecture and governance models
- Troubleshooting Azure environments
- Exposure to TLM practices
- Preferred Experience:
- Azure API Management (APIM)
- Improving API governance maturity (APIM/API Center)
- Familiarity with Azure API Center
- Securing and standardizing AI/API integrations leveraging MCP
- Awareness or initial exposure to MCP (AI integration patterns)
