Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Extract primary data from Oracle Database using SQL.
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
- Provide timely and accurate data to fulfill internal and external data requests.
- Identify, compile, and clean data for research projects.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Oversee evaluation and research projects.
- Communicate the evaluation plan and its details to leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external research partners to ensure understanding of data points and data sets.
- Develop and monitor internal and external data requests.
- Manage, summarize, and analyze quantitative and/or qualitative data.
- Summarize and explain research findings and their implications.
- Prepare findings for publication.
- Develop, review, and abstract published research.
- Produce data visualization dashboards with Tableau.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND two years in a related lead or supervisory role OR Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND four years of related experience, two years of which in a related lead or supervisory role OR two years of experience at the lower level IT Business Analyst or position equivalent.
- 5 years of knowledge and experience with databases (SQL, Oracle, etc).
- 5 years of experience in accessing and extracting data from organizational and/or other institutional databases.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- 2 years of relevant work experience in the Criminal Justice field and/or Data Management/Analysis.
- Proficient skills in queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
- Experience in data visualization software (i.e., Tableau).
