Position summary:
- This is a backend Senior API / Integration Engineer who specializes in building and managing APIs, connecting enterprise systems, and handling data movement across platforms using tools like API gateways, message queues, and transformation services.
- Create, modify, and support enterprise integrations, primarily using APIs and Web Services.
- The team supports API Gateways, Complex Service Orchestration, and APIs developed and hosted on-premise and cloud-based.
- API/Web Service development experience
- JavaScript
- APIs (SOAP and RESTful)
- GraphQL
- Understanding of OAuth and mTLS preferred
- IBM DataPower, IBM API-Connect, Kong, AWS API Gateway, RedHat OpenShift Containers, WebSphere Application Server, Node.js, GitHub, Jenkins, Blackduck, SonarQube, MQ, ReadyAPI, MarkDown, Swagger, Splunk, MongoDB, SQL, or BroadCom HostBridge.
- LEDS (Leveraged Enterprise Data Services) is a 20-person cross-functional team comprised of developers, designers, analysts, and team leads responsible for enterprise-wide system integrations. The team manages high-volume, concurrent initiatives (up to 90 at a time), with members frequently contributing across multiple efforts.
- They support real-time data integration across the organization, connecting internal systems, external partners, and both on-prem and cloud platforms. This includes designing, building, and maintaining API-driven integrations, as well as leveraging gateway and transformation platforms to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable data exchange.
- 4 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;
- OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
- OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 8 years without a degree)
