Job Description
On-site role at WHQ; 5 days on-site, typical work hours
Req is to help with project support; contract expected to last ~1 year from start
ETW should not expect travel (as noted in the JD)
Bachelor s degree will be a requirement for this role (something in the field of materials science, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, etc. would be preferred)
2-4 years experience minimum required in lab work, materials testing, product testing, etc.
Must Have Skills
Strong communication skills; must be able to translate technical information to non-technical audiences
Hands-on experience with product/materials testing
Nice to have skills
Comfortable in ambiguity
Self starter
Skills that would make a candidate stand out:
Basic knowledge of biomechanics and/or CAD
Prior footwear testing experience
Statistical analysis of data
Experience with Instron testing machines
Additional Notes
ETW will help support product testing for global football (soccer) footwear; will work on product testing on Instron machines, generate reports, provide test results to product creation/development teams, etc.
Will work directly with ~9 other testers and a lead engineer; lots of cross functional work with product creation and development teams as well
1 round of interviews anticipated
WHO YOU LL WORK WITH:
You will work with product creation teams to ensure the quality of Client footwear products.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We re looking for a Test Engineer II in the Client Footwear Lab with strong problem solving, results orientation, and multi-tasking skills.
WHAT YOU LL WORK ON
You will complete standard materials and mechanical tests, review and analyze data, and write reports and communicate the results to the teams. You will also assist more senior engineers on testing related projects, consult and train others in your area of expertise, and help identify changes in protocols or equipment within the lab to improve accuracy and efficiency.
What You Bring
Bachelor s Degree in mechanical engineering or related field required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in test design, data collection, data analysis, and/or equipment design is
required.
Strong written and oral communication skill with an ability to effectively communicate technical information
to non-technical audience required.
Experience with product and materials testing is required.
Experience with statistical analysis of data required
Basic knowledge of biomechanics and/or CAD would be a plus
Ability to travel occasionally (5%
